A man in critical condition ‘received advanced medical assistance’ during a medical emergency in Lichfield Street, Fazeley

A man in critical condition received advanced medical assistance after a medical emergency in Tamworth. At least two police cars and two ambulances were pictured at the scene in Lichfield Street, Fazeley on Friday afternoon March 25.

Tatenhill Midlands Air Ambulance also landed nearby. Crews arrived to find the man in critical condition with bystander CPR already in progress.

They took over treatment and provided advanced care at the scene and continued treatment en route to hospital by land ambulance. No update on his condition was available.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed: ”We were called at 4.09pm on Friday to a medical emergency at the junction of Evans Croft and Lichfield Street. We sent two ambulances, a paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Tatenhill to the scene.

“Upon arrival, teams found a man in critical condition with bystander CPR already in progress. Staff took over treatment and administered advanced life support at the scene and continued treatment en route. to the hospital by land ambulance.”
