An officer who initially survived an ambush has been removed from life support, police said Thursday. 39 years old At Keona Holley’s health had ‘deteriorated over the past two days’, according to The Baltimore Police Department.

Authorities said this Elliot Knox31, and Travon Shaw32, shot Holley on December 16 while she was in her vehicle on Pennington Avenue, then quickly killed Justin Johnson, 38, on Lucia Ave. Like Holley, he was seated in his vehicle.

“His health has deteriorated over the past two days and his family, in consultation with his doctors, had to make the most difficult decision,” cops said of Holley’s condition. “Since the shooting of Officer Holley, Dr. Thomas Scalea and the medical staff at the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center have provided him with the best medical care in the world. The Baltimore Police Department thanks them for all their efforts. However, it was Officer Holley’s valiant fight for her life that brought her this far. Her strength, courage and resilience are an inspiration to us all.

Justin Johnson was a father of five children, according to WBFF. His relatives celebrated his funeral on Wednesday.

Shaw and Knox were denied bail on Monday and Tuesday, respectively. Knox claimed it was Shaw who killed Holley and Johnson, according to court documents obtained by the outlet. In this version of eventsShaw said Johnson owed him money.
