Colin Kaepernick stepped out in style for the premiere of the Netflix drama series “Colin in Black and White,” which details his high school years and the experiences that inspired his activist career.
The civil rights activist’s outfit for the occasion was a black velvet blazer, adorned with a print of layered geometric lines. Since Kaepernick’s blazer was subtly printed, he created a detailed statement without overpowering his ensemble. Kaepernick kept the rest of her look simple with hints of texture, pairing the blazer with black velvet pants, a silver ring, and a watch.
As for shoes, Kaepernick opted for black patent leather moccasins. The former NFL star’s shiny shoes featured a lace-up silhouette, as well as thin heels. Her moccasins gave the velvet ensemble a distinctly formal appearance, elevating the blazer and pants with a burst of elegant texture.
Classic men’s loafers are back on the red carpet now that formal events and occasions are also back this season. The shoe is often available in a range of finishes and colors, usually in black or brown tones. In addition to Kaepernick, stars like Penn Badgley, Eli Goree and Tye Sheridan have also been spotted in dapper pairs by Christian Louboutin, Gucci and Armani in recent weeks.
When it comes to fashion, Kaepernick keeps his classic, sharp style in suits and part ways with brands like Sandro, Isaia and Pyer Moss. The athlete often wears neutral-colored moccasins and suede boots on the red carpet of big brands such as Del Toro. He is also known to occasionally wear bold sneakers from luxury brands like Versace and Louboutin. Outside of events, Kaepernick also translated his sleek style into design, releasing limited edition Nike Air Force 1 Low sneakers in 2019.
