Dolly Parton is ready to tell her story on the big screen! The country legend has been planning her biopic for a while now, and while she first had plans to take her story to Broadway, she’s now thinking about taking it all the way to Hollywood.
“We were talking about doing my Broadway musical and we were really way ahead of that, and then COVID hit and it changed my mind about a lot of things,” Dolly explained in a recent interview.
The iconic singer says she still has plans “to be on Broadway one day”, but for now she is trying hard to share her “life story as a feature film”, adding: “Can -even being a musical feature, so we’re talking about it.”
She also revealed the actress she has in mind to land the coveted role, “I love Kristin Chenoweth. She’s just fantastic,” Dolly confessed, adding that she would have been the “perfect person” for her Broadway project.
Dolly explained that she still had to think about the rest of the cast, explaining that they “probably should have – as long as my career lasted – like a little Dolly and a medium Dolly, and then the older one.”
