“You don’t expect to enjoy coming home from work and then finding out that your cousin has been shot in the head,” said Ashley Cole, Goodrich’s cousin. “When there are only six people in a movie theater, to me, that’s not what I imagine someone who has no intention of killing someone to do.”
Barajas is a popular TikTok personality with over a million followers, and Goodrich was home during summer vacation from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
Authorities said the two attended the film together. However, it was not immediately clear who else was in the theater with them, although records show that a total of six tickets were purchased for this performance.
“We have no suspicious information at the moment,” Kouroubacalis said. “We have no information to suggest that there is currently an active threat to our community or any surrounding community.”
