TikTok star on life support, woman killed during ‘The Forever Purge’ screening

A young woman was killed and a TikTok star fought for her life in a hospital after being shot in a movie theater in Crown late Monday evening, police said.

Authorities received a 911 call from the Edwards Theater at Crossings Mall at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Corona Police Department said. Shortly after, the arriving officers discovered two victims with gunshot wounds inside the cinema.

The young woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the young man was rushed to a local trauma center where he was on life support until his death on Saturday morning, officials said.

Officials later identified the victims as 18-year-old Rylee Goodrich and 19-year-old Anthony Barajas. Goodrich lost his life and Barajas, known online as “itsanthonymichael”, is currently on life support, Corona PD said.

Both victims were attending a screening of “The Forever Purge,” authorities told FOX 11.

A friend shared an image of Goodrich with FOX 11 which shows the late teenager celebrating her graduation from Corona STEM Academy. They told FOX 11 off camera that the grieving family feared for their safety as the shooter remained at large.

Barajas has a huge following on social media. The 19-year-old has much more 900,000 followers on TikTok and has more than 41,000 followers on Instagram.

GoFundMe pages have been created for the two victims:

Barajas’ family’s GoFundMe page reports that he died, but this has not been confirmed by authorities.


Joseph Jimenez20, has been arrested as part of the deadly double shootout.

Jimenez was incarcerated at Riverside Presley Detention Center for murder, robbery with a firearm and attempted murder. He is being held on $2,000,000 bond.
